On Friday, UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings against both Liverpool and Sevilla, charging the two clubs for crowd disturbances.
In addition, the Reds were charged for the setting off of fireworks, while the Andalusian side was charged for the throwing of objects.
Supporters from both clubs clashed ahead of kick-off after, according to BBC Sport, some of Liverpool’s fans obtained tickets in the end of St. Jakob-Park housing Sevilla’s followers.
The case will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on July 21.
